Settings

The Settings panel is where you tune how Dusky looks, manage your account and subscription, and check for updates.

Open Settings

Open the ⋯ menu on the toolbar and choose Settings, or press Cmd/Ctrl+, to open the Settings dialog directly. Settings has three sections: Display, Subscription, and About.

Note

Cmd/Ctrl+, does nothing until first-run setup is finished. Before then, open Settings from the ⋯ menu.

Display

Note

Turn off Show reminder when window is hidden if you want maximum discretion and would rather rely on memorizing Cmd/Ctrl+B to bring Dusky back. See Stealth Mode for how the hint pill stays invisible to screen share.

Subscription

The Subscription section shows your current plan or trial status and lets you upgrade or manage billing.

• Upgrade opens the plan comparison, then Stripe checkout in your default browser.
• On the Pro Monthly plan, Manage subscription opens the Stripe billing portal in your browser to change your payment method, view invoices, or cancel.

Sign out

Logout is not in Settings. Choose Logout from the ⋯ menu — that is the only place it lives.

Logging out deletes your local interview data

Signing out ends your session and permanently erases what Dusky has stored on this device:

• Your uploaded CV and Interview Context.
• The saved conversation — problem statements and AI solution code.
• Your session history — up to 1000 past sessions, including verbatim interviewer transcripts and the solutions Dusky produced.
• Every screenshot PNG on disk.

None of this is recoverable, and none of it comes back when you sign in again. Your onboarding progress is kept, so you are not walked through setup a second time.

Only log out when you actually want the app reset on this device.

Quit Dusky

Choose Quit Dusky from the ⋯ menu to close Dusky completely.

Caution

There is no confirmation dialog. The click quits immediately. There is also no keyboard shortcut for quitting — including Cmd+Q, which Dusky deliberately does not register — so clicking that menu item is the only way to quit, and the only way to quit by accident.
